Welcome to the peace of the countryside. Only five minutes from the E20, between Mariestad and Götene, you find our hostel in the natural world of Lugnåsberget with a view over Kinnekulle. Sleep soundly in our pleasant and newly renovated rooms, all with en suite facilities. The hostel is on Lugnåsberget, which is the lowest plateau hill in Västergötland, and gives a view over Kinnekulle. It is easy to find us from the major roads, just follow the road up the hill towards Lugnås Church. There is ample parking space close to the rooms, as well. A bus stop and train station lie within 3-5 km if you want to travel here using climate-sensitive transport, and we will be happy to fetch you if you don’t want to walk the distance. Once arrived, you will find much to discover here by foot or by cycle. Accommodation The hostel has been fully rebuilt and opened in July 2011, with newly built rooms in refurbished premises at an old smallholding. All rooms are en suite with their own entrance, and a common veranda. There is also a flat for larger groups, with two separate bedrooms for 5 people. Both rooms have their own toilet and shower. To see and do A peaceful and natural world is waiting for you here, while some of the residents (cheeky goats and cows) offer some excitement. If it gets too much for you, take a cycle trip through the forest. Or why not walk Stenhuggarstigen (a trail about 6 km), or visit Qvarnstensgruvan (the Mill-stone Mine)? We are conveniently located for many of the tourist attractions of Västergötland such as Vänern, the Göta canal, Kinnekulle, Läckö, Hornborgasjön and Skara Sommarland.

The hostel have 7 rooms on different sizes. 2-6 beds. All rooms have private bathrooms.
