Das Hotel ist wunderschön und unglaublich imposant. Die Lage auf der Palme ist toll, der Strandabschnitt sauber und riesig, das Hotel als solches konsequent durchthematisiert. Die Poolanlage ist sauber und riesig, das Aquaventure super und das Lost Chambers Aquarium Grundsätzlich haben wir es so empfunden, dass das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht stimmt. Im Vergleich zu anderen 5* Hotels gibt es im Atlantis für Hotelgäste kein kostenloses Wasser, weder an einem Automaten zur Selbstbedienung noch in Flaschen. Lediglich im Zimmer stehen drei Flaschen pro Tag, die jedoch nicht mit an den Pool genommen werden können (da aus Glas). Auf Nachfrage teilte der Manager an der Rezeption mit, dass man die Nachhaltigkeit erhöhen möchte und auf Plastik verzichten will. Die Grundidee dahinter ist sicherlich lobenswert (wenngleich ein Widerspruch zur Destination Dubai an sich), jedoch für Hotelgäste völlig unpraktikabel. Die Buffetrestaurants waren toll, könnten jedoch qualitativ noch hochwertiger sein. 115 AED pro Kind für ein Abendessen ist ferner extrem hochpreisig! Das Hotel lebt sicherlich von seinem Ruf eines "place to be", ist unserer Meinung nach jedoch zu teuer für das, was geboten wird.
