Dear DietmarP, Thank you for choosing the Blue Lagoon Resort for your holidays. We thank you for your sharing your feedback. We are delighted to hear that you liked the rooms, food and drinks. Please be advised that stray cats are a common phenomenon in all over Greece. However, we have placed signs in the restaurants advising guests should not feed them, so as not to encourage them. In addition, we have built cat houses in order to keep the cats further away from the common areas. These are located away from the restaurants and common areas, allowing guests who wish to feed them, to do so there. We do try to keep the cats away, but it is inevitable that on occasions they will wonder around the restaurant. Regarding the gastroenteritis, this was viral for a few days in the hotel and also outside of the hotel during this period. In the hotel we took all possible actions to avoid further spreading of the virus within our premises. The hygiene level in the hotel is high but in addition special attention was given to cleaning and disinfection in all areas and more extra hand sanitizers were placed in public areas. In the hotel we follow the HACCP regulations very carefully. For the guests that were infected we offered to see the hotel doctor and offered the diet described from the doctor and also room service was offered.
