Das Hotel liegt zentral am Fuße des Edinburgh Castle. Perfekter Ausgangspunkt um Edinburgh zu erkunden mit einer Vielzahl a Pubs und Restaurants in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Die Zimmer waren für meinen Geschmack etwas dunkel, aber dennoch sehr komfortabel und sauber. Das Frühstück ist für Doubletree-Verhältnisse sehr gut und die Hotelbar ist auch super. Es gibt auch eine Rooftop-Bar, diese war aber geschlossen.
