Hotel Historic

We stayed at Hotel Historic for 3 nights in August. We agree with all the positive reviews. We are a couple, but we got a four persons apartment. This means entering a small hall with on your right side a bathroom with bath and straight forward a large living with kitchen, with on the right side a double room and a twin room. The double room has two little balconies. All rooms are spotless clean, cleaned by the mother of the owner (it is apparently a family curdled hotel). There is a large TV with a good reception of different senders, but with no sound on BBC. The 3 kinds of bells of the cathedral did not bother us, although I am a light sleeper. Girona itself is a wonderful city, especially the old part where you will find Hotel Historic. It has a lot of small, beautiful streets which give you the impression to enter the middle ages but with all modern comfort. The Konig salad at Konig Sandwiches is great and costs less than 5 euro. In most restaurant a 3 course menu is less than 15 euro, and a bottle of wine 6 – 10 euro. If you arrive by plane, take the bus to Girona bus station (a return ticket costs 3, 40 euro) and than a taxi to the hotel (about 7 euro). We intend to return to Girona, and Hotel Historic at 90 euro per night will be our first choice (only bookable through their website www. hotelhistoric.com)
