Playa Esperanza Resort

Our stay was in the middle of October, from 13.10. to 18.10. We chose the hotel because it had a good location and good reviews. The hotel was clean, the beach too, the water in the pool was a bit cold due to the autumn and the weather. The room was clean, bright and even though it was facing the street, we always enjoyed the sunset in the afternoon. The food was good and we always found something to eat. The only thing that bothered us were the old towels in the rooms and the amount of them. One small towel and one big towel is not enough. For a 4 star hotel I would have more towels, unfortunately I was disgusted to wipe in those towels, there was no towel for the face (if I wipe my hair with a small towel and my whole body with a big towel). The beauty products were excellent. Another thing that bothered us was that if you are not a German-speaking retired 65+ , you don't get as much attention at dinner and at breakfast. The older waitresses, frankly frustrated with age and the busy and long season, were not the nicest if you happened to want to sit by the window and asked them nicely to clear the table. Unfortunately, we do not have a good experience with these ladies and their unsympathetic behaviour was a hindrance to us. Otherwise we evaluate our holiday positively, only the old and stale towels and the unsympathetic waitresses in the restaurant let us down.
