Das Anantara Riverside Hotel Bangkok ist ein besonders und schönes Stadthotel. Es ist eine kleine „Oase“ mit Charme. Liegt direkt am Flusslauf und verbindet Ruhe und eine nie schlafende und laute Großstadt miteinander. Ja das Haus ist nicht mehr neuwertig und die vielen Gäste hinterlassen Spuren. Es wird jedoch ständig gepflegt und man fühlt sich sehr wohl. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich. Das Haus hat „nur“ 5 Etagen, was in Bangkok eher niedrig ist. Dahinter und mit einem kleinen Shopping Center verbunden, das Hotel Avani+. Die Zimmer sind komfortabel, sauber und einem 5 Sterne Hotel entsprechend ausgestattet. Uns fehlte es an nichts. Kostenfreie wurde Wasser zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Minibar ist kostenpflichtig. Die Ablageflächen im Zimmer etwas zu wenig. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist der absolute „Hammer“ ! Auf der Terrasse werden kalte und warme europäische sowie asiatische Gerichte angeboten. Kaffeespezialitäten werden am Tisch serviert. Hinzu kommen frische Früchte und Säfte, Eierspeisen, Suppen und vieles mehr. Für Kinder gibt es eine spezielle Ecke! Leider etwas nervig und unappetitlich sind Vögel, die an die Tisch auf die Terrasse kommen und die Teller „räubern“. Im Innenhof mit Pflanzen lädt der Pool / Liegen zum Entspannen nach einem Stadtbummel ein. Wer noch Lust hat, kann das klimatisierte Fitness Studio im EG (24/7) besuchen. Der Standort liegt südlich der vielen HotSpots der Stadt am Chaophrya. Eine kostenfreie Fährverbindung (Abfahrt jede volle Stunde) fährt u. a. zum Sathon Boat Pier mit Übergang zur Bahnstation „Saphan Taksin Station“ Line S6. Alles wichtige, wie z. B.: 7-Eleven, Wechselstube €, div. Restaurants, Shops, Friseur, Massage sind in direkter Nähe im Center. Als kleinen Tipp könnte die Rooftop Bar des Avani+ Hotel mit einem atemberaubenden Blick sein.
