Shortly beforehand: The journey in this inn was a disaster, and after eating moldy-smelling room service as well as null and false statements. Better look for something more, there are better and not so much expensive accommodation. Now for the trip: In the run my wife fell ill, so I anmailte a week before the inn with a request for goodwill. Zero reaction, just as later because of the complaint, either by mail or fax. I had posted (lucky) via Neckermann, but this made me only once at the inn. Upon arrival, the innkeeper was tied very short and rather unfriendly. The breakfast was, shall we say, very manageable (see pictures). I arrived half an hour after the start and it was almost all gone and was not refilled. The room smelled extremely after eating, I've also read somewhere else already. After everything had to leave in the laundry, even that was not taken because it smelled like food stall. The rooms themselves are tiny, in a niche in a small closet and then a bed and two bedside tables does not fit pure, more. The bathroom is okay so far. But: All rooms are covered with wood on the walls and especially on the ceiling. And here comes the problem: After two days I noticed that whenever I came from the fresh mountain air, could barely breathe when I was in the room! And usually I have little hay fever, no asthma. I went on a search and discovered mold in the bathroom on the walls (washed, partially) - Ventilation is very very weak and can only be done if the light is on (see photos). In addition, the wooden ceiling in the room was filled almost entirely with black mold (see pictures). The mold is formed when moisture enters the bathroom in the room, cools and rises to the ceiling. There is dust (skin scales) and that is beginning to rot at. Did it beat the host directly, he just said can not be. I told him how come the white horse (would have to do the job so well) and he wanted to get a biologist the days .... Another room he had not. After consultation with Neckermann and the inn I switched to another hotel, and should get the money for the nights not inhabited again. But even while he is still trying to cheat! Instead of three he would reimburse me only two. To e-mail and fax, he did not respond. Only on my part to pressure Neckermann the money was refunded. Just bad! No more there, rather pay a little more! Kurz vorweg: Die Reise in diesen Gasthof war eine Katastrophe, verschimmelte und nach Essen riechende Zimmer sowie null Service und Falschaussagen. Lieber etwas weiter suchen, es gibt dort bessere und nicht so viel teuere Unterkünfte. Nun zu der Reise: Im Vorfeld erkrankte meine Frau, so dass ich eine Woche vorher den Gasthof mit der Bitte um Kulanz anmailte. Null Reaktion, so wie auch später aufgrund der Beschwerde, weder per Mail noch per Fax. Gebucht hatte ich (zum Glück) via Neckermann, aber diese verwiesen mich erst einmal an den Gasthof. Bei der Ankunft war der Gastwirt sehr kurz angebunden und ziemlich unfreundlich. Das Frühstück war, sagen wir mal, sehr überschaubar (siehe Bilder). Ich kam eine halbe Stunde nach Beginn und es war fast alles schon weg und wurde nicht nachgefüllt. Die Zimmer rochen extrem nach Essen, habe ich woanders auch schon gelesen. Nach dem Urlaub musste alles in die Wäsche, auch was nicht getragen war, da es nach Pommesbude roch. Die Zimmer selber sind winzig klein, in einer Nische ein kleiner Schrank und dann ein Bett und zwei Nachttische, mehr passt nicht rein. Das Bad ist soweit okay. Aber: Alle Zimmer sind mit Holz an den Wänden und vor allem an der Decke verkleidet. Und hier kommt das Problem: Nach zwei Tagen fiel mir auf, dass immer wenn ich von der frischen Bergluft kam, kaum noch atmen konnte, sobald ich im Zimmer war! Und normalerweise habe ich nur wenig Heuschnupfen, kein Asthma. Ich ging auf die Suche und entdeckte Schimmel im Bad an den Wänden (zum Teil abgewaschen) - Lüftung ist sehr sehr schwach und geht nur, wenn das Licht an ist (siehe Fotos). Außerdem war im Zimmer die Holzdecke fast komplett mit schwarzem Schimmel besetzt (siehe Fotos). Der Schimmel entsteht, wenn Feuchtigkeit vom Bad in das Zimmer gelangt, abkühlt und an die Decke steigt. Dort ist Staub (mit Hautschuppen) und genau dies fängt an zu schimmeln. Habe es dem Wirt direkt gezeigt, er meinte nur, kann nicht sein. Ich teilte ihm mit, woher das Schimmel kommen würde (habe auch im Beruf damit zu tun) und er wollte einen Biologen die Tage...holen. Ein anderes Zimmer hatte er nicht. Nach Absprache mit Neckermann und dem Gasthof bin ich dann in ein anderes Hotel gewechselt und sollte das Geld für die nicht bewohnten Nächte wieder bekommen. Aber selbst dabei hat er noch versucht zu betrügen! Statt drei wollte er mir nur zwei erstatten. Auf E-Mail und Fax reagierte er nicht. Erst auf Druck meinerseits an Neckermann wurde das Geld erstattet. Einfach mies! Nie wieder dorthin, lieber etwas mehr zahlen! See above, small, stinking of food and moldy! Wenn unbedingt Kals, dann schaut lieber weiter nach Unterkünften.

See above, very clear breakfast. Dinner quite passable. But friendliness is different ... Siehe oben, sehr übersichtliches Frühstück. Abendessen ganz passabel. Aber Freundlichkeit ist anders...

The ski area is very borderline, never had split because of so many holes in the ski. And slopes were missing part or all (was located) and connecting roads. I say only valley in Matrei not scattered and we had to cross two streets (Ski unfasten) and back with the ski bus to the lift. The referrals are over 100 km of smooth lied! Das Skigebiet ist sehr grenzwertig, noch nie aufgrund von Split so viele Löcher in den Ski gehabt. Und Pisten fehlten teilweise ganz (waren eingezeichnet) sowie Verbindungswege. Ich sag nur Talabfahrt in Matrei nicht gestreut und wir mussten zwei Straßen überqueren (Ski abschnallen) und mit dem Skibus zum Lift zurück. Die geworbenen über 100km sind glatt gelogen!
