Hotel Kuta Paradiso

Stayed for 4 days. But on 2 separate bookings and had to switch rooms between them (got an upgrade on the first night because nothing else was available). The only bad thing to say was that I forgot something in the first room and the reception was not able to recover it during the next 3 days of my stay ... The rest of the say was really nice. The pool was great to relax (although not able to swim more than 5 meters straight). The beach was only accessible from the street in front of the hotel. But only a 5 minute walk. It is a public beach and there are no sunbeds - only some hundred meters down the beach for rent. And the hotel doesn't have beach towels - you could by some on the way to the beach though (don't pay more than 50.000 IDR - which is probably still too much) The hotel offers a free shuttle. I didn't know and took a taxi from the airport (payed 80.000 - definitely too much ;) ) , but on the way back a driver from the hotel took me for free. There is lots of night life down the main road. A taxi to the far end of the main street is about 20.000 IDR. (I wrote the prices from Oct'13 because many people charge (a lot) more if you don't know how much you should pay)
