Das Besondere dieses Hotels ist die traumhafte Lage! Direkt am Hang gelegen mit Blick auf die Bucht. Der Ort Kalami ist eher ruhig und sorgt für einen entspannten Urlaub.
Wir hatten eine Suite mit Wohnzimmer, Schlafzimmer, Bad und 2 Balkonen. Sehr schön ausgestattet, gepflegt und sauber. Fön, Safe, Kühlschrank und ein Wasserkocher zur Zubereitung von Tee und Kaffee waren vorhanden. Das Bett war sehr bequem, für jeden gab es 2 Kissen! Wir hatten einen tollen Blick auf die Bucht und seitlich auf den oberen Pool.
Das Essen (vor allem das Frühstück) war dann eher auf die englischen Gäste ausgerichtet. Wir haben immer etwas Leckeres gefunden, die Auswahl war aber doch eher klein. Die Tische waren sowohl beim Frühstück als auch beim Abendessen nur teilweise gedeckt, Messer/Gabel/Löffel/Servietten durfte man sich selber holen. Leider war auch das Restaurant/die Tische sehr eng gestellt.
Ich muss sagen, hier war dann doch einer der Minuspunkte des Hotels. Ja, das Personal hat seine Arbeit erledigt, aber die vielgelobte Freundlichkeit/Höflichkeit konnten wir (bis auf wenige Ausnahmen, z. B. die Putzfrau) nicht erkennen. Unser Problem mit dem Safe wurde allerdings schnell gelöst und der Empfang bei Ankunft war freundlich.
Wie schon besprieben ist die Lage das Kapital des Hotels. Am Hang mit traumhaftem Blick auf die Bucht und das gegenüber gelegene Festland. Der Ort Kalami ist sehr ruhig (nur eine handvoll Restaurants, 2 Supermärkte, einen Souveniershop und einen Anbieter für Ausflüge). Die Fahrt nach Korfu-Stadt/zum Flughafen dauert ca. eine Stunde. Wenn man mobil sein möchte, ist ein Mietwagen absolute Pflicht. Uns haben die engen Strassen und vielen Kurven eher abgeschreckt, hier darf einem kein Bus/LKW entgegen kommen -> Problem! Der Stand (Steinstrand) war sehr schön, glasklares sauberes Wasser. Hier sind aber Badeschuhe angesagt.

As for breakfast, please note that San Antonio participates in the action of “Greek Breakfast” and our breakfast buffet is definitely not oriented only to our English guests. The aim of the “Greek Breakfast” program is to give our guests the chance to know the gastronomic wealth of our country and taste the innumerable local products and dishes which are at the heart of the Mediterranean Diet. We daily offer Greek and Corfiot delicacies, such as Greek yogurt with nuts and honey, fresh fruit salad & vegetables, local sausages, feta cheese, virgin olive oil and olives, homemade rice puddings, freshly baked Greek pies and traditional desserts, like “Halva”, “Pastaflora”, “Bougatsa” etc. In any case, thank you for bringing any shortcomings to our attention as this will greatly assist us in improving our product and service delivery in the future.
