At Sandies Bathala, we are deeply committed to preserving the natural beauty of our surroundings, and we are constantly working to enhance our efforts in this area. In partnership with our resident marine biologists, we are actively engaged in a coral restoration project, which involves the planting and monitoring of coral nurseries to help regenerate damaged reef areas. We also conduct educational sessions and evening presentations focused on marine life, conservation awareness, and responsible snorkeling practices — all aimed at empowering guests to become stewards of the reef. Furthermore, we have implemented a number of sustainability initiatives across the resort, including minimizing single-use plastic, offering eco-friendly alternatives, and organizing our weekly "Island Green Walk." This guided walk gives guests a behind-the-scenes look at our eco-efforts — from waste management and composting to water conservation and energy-saving technologies. It’s a great opportunity to see firsthand how we strive to protect our environment and support our community. Your suggestion to include a stronger environmental message during the welcome briefing is very well noted and appreciated.
