Truly a grand hotel in its own right. Alpax was an excursion not to be missed! A truly Swiss experience with a beautiful view.
The bathroom requires renovation, as the marble, the taps, sink and bathtub seem dated (i.e. not renovated since the 1980s!). In addition, the shower was not handheld, which was a great disappointment. Most hotels offer handheld showers. The technology in the bedroom seemed outdated as well. No button to automatically close the shutters, lamps in the bedroom needed to be individually switched on and off, sofa looked worn out. In short, it was an old room.
The breakfast buffet was outstanding and in a most sophisticated setting.
The level of service did not come across as warm and genuine, except in the shops.
Central location with a stunning view.
The highlight of the hotel was obviously the wellness area, but not the hotel room!
