Die Hauptniederlassung der "Shetland Library" befindet sich seit dem Jahr 2002 in der ehemaligen St. Ringan's United Free Church an der Lower Hillhead im Zentrum von Lerwick. Das ehemalige Gotteshaus wurde 1885–86 nach den Plänen von R. G. Sykes im gotischen Stil aus grauem Sandstein erbaut. Das Gebäude steht unter Denkmalschutz.
