Schöne Insel mit herrlicher Vegetation, aber leider stark zunehmender Sandstrand-Erosion. Erstklassiger Service. Achtung bei der Villenauswahl.
Unser 2. Aufenthalt nach 2010. Diesmal buchten wir Residence Villa Nr. 612, ganz nahe am Riff Die geraden Nummern (rechte Seite) bieten Sonnaufgang und sind erheblich besser windgeschützt als die ungeraden. Dafür ab 16 h keine Sonne mehr. Die Villa und Terasse sind sehr großzügig und bequem. Zwar ca. 10 Jahre alt, aber tadellos in Schuß. Die Strandvillen sind alle vegetationsbedingt düster und auf der Restaurantseite mangels (verschwundenem) Sandstrand nicht zu empfehlen. Auf der anderen Seite (Spa) ok.
Im Residence Restaurant kleine Auswahl in hervorragender Qualität. Karte wechselt sehr selten Seafood Restaurant ebenfalls sehr gut in besonders netter Atmosphäre. Das Air- selfservice Restaurant bietet die mit Abstand beste Auswahl mit täglich wechselnden Themen. Mir persönlich gefällt die wohl überall auf den Malediven angewandte Aufpreispolitik nicht. Man hat bei HP ein Guthaben , das von der Konsumation abgerechnet wird. (außer im Air, da ist alles inclusive) Es geht mir dabei nicht um die Kosten an sich, sondern um das Gefühl, nochmals zur Kasse gebeten zu werden. Warum nicht gleich in den Reisepreis einrechnen? Für besondere Gerichte (z.B. Hummer) wäre ein Aufpreis ja ok.

Der schönste Schnorchelplatz- am besten morgens -ist der Einstieg am Beginn der Wasservillen/Escapevillen. Dort führen Stufen ins Wasser. Wir haben mehrmals auch Schildkröten gesehen.
