Its very important for us to know exactly what our clients like/dislike, so that we are able to address and improve such points. We would like to address a few points in your review: Room upgrade: We hope we could extend your upgrade for all your vacations, but unfortunately we didn't have this opportunity. As it was agreed from the beginning, you would receive a few days upgrade and then move to a room as per your original reservation. Of course, going back to a simple room after you receive a deluxe suite is not optimal. Please keep in mind we have 27 room types, so you can choose a higher category for your booking as well, not necessarily the simplest double. Entertainment: We offer light entertainment and we do not claim that we are an active hotel. Rating us with 2 stars for low entertainment value is a bit unfair to us, as we never advertised we are a hotel with animation and events. We offer light entertainment that doesn't violate the peaceful atmosphere we aim at offering to our Guests. Reading comments and hotel description in advance is important to help You select a hotel that is relevant to your expectations. Beach: Indeed, the beach does not belong to us. We do not claim to own the land. We rent it from the municipality of Malia and we pay for its maintenance. No beach in Greece can be privatized, it is illegal. All in all, we are happy with the conclusion of your review, it makes us happy to know that small details didn't get in the way of your vacations and you had a good time with us.
