Hotel Alpenrose

Hotel Alpenrose is a complex of three individual hotels: Alpenrose, Casa Andrea and Casa Arturo. The two latter ones are recent additions and offer more comfort. Aletsch area is a paradise for sports enthusiasts, winter and summer. Enjoy the Aletsch Glacier, a UNESCO world cultural heritage site.

Room in the Casa Andrea was very spacious, clean and had modern bathroom. No amenities were missing. Extremely quite at night. Since the room was on the ground floor one can step out onto a little patio with tables and chairs that gives right into a Alpine meadow. A nice and highly appreciated surprise.

The breakfast buffet is delicious and well stocked. Sample the basket of at least 10 different varieties of Swiss bread specialties. Three restaurants ranging from Pizzeria, to Swiss and locale fare. All three are highly recommended.

Very good and efficient service. The rooms are spick and span.

The hotel is only five walking minutes from the gondola. Many rooms offer sensational Alpine views, either over the ascending meadows and mountains in the back or breathtaking birds eye views over Valais valley with a glimpse of the famous Matterhorn.
