Side Mare Resort & Spa

Our holiday at Side Mare Resort and Spa was perfect.on arrival(23:00)we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist,who informed us that it was possible to have a late night snack.After being brought to our room we gladly accepted the offer of the snacks.A warm and delicious Tomato soup,various salats and bread-just what we needed after a long day(we had a stop in Istanbul).the family room was ideal,seperate bedrooms and a pleasant (a bit small)bathroom.Unfortunatly the safe had to be rented (as opposed to a safe with code).the beds were very comfortable and we had a tv pro bedroom!(the children were delighted!) the breakfast was amazing-cereals,eggs in every form,bread,fruit salats,youhurts,jams etc.there was a `Diet Corner`eventhough i can´t imagine how anybody could resist the selection of goodies on offer!! The service staff were fantastic:friendly,efficient,and always in good humour.the service helpers were also very efficient,clean and tidy.(hello to Fierat,Mustafa and the small waiter sorry can´t remember the name! and the lovely head waiters). We usually took the hotel bus to the beach(twice an hour)but it was only approx. 10 walking distance.The beach was clean and tidy,the toilets were ALWAYS clean even on rainy days!The beach bar offered snacks during the day(pizza,chips,spaghetti,salats).Ice cream,cake and biscuits in the afternoon.Again the staff were very friendly and after the 1st day knew what we drank and how many.coffee,Teas and juices were selfservice,other drinks to be ordered at the bar. I must mention the patisserie where there was a selection of cake and biscuits everyday:-)yeah calculate a few kilos more when you arrive home!there was also a lady doing turkish Pancakes everyday-yummie! The Reception was occupied all day,we were always greeted with a smile and a bit of small talk.There were 2 guest relations staff in April-each with a desk for guests with problems etc.again they were always smiling and happy. In general i think the hotel and staff deserve an A. thanks for a wonderful holiday.
