Wir haben einen Teil unserer Hochzeitsreise im Coco Palm Bodu Hithi verbracht (die erste Hälfte der Reise waren wir im Filitheyo). Wir wohnten in einer Escape Water Residence Villa, haben uns aber auch die anderen Zimmertypen angeschaut. Die anderen Zimmertypen nutzen gemeinsam das Hauptrestaurant sowie das Aqua Restaurant, für die Gäste der Residence Villen steht ein eigenes Restaurant zur Verfügung, was maximale Privatsphäre garantiert. Das Publikum ist sehr gemischt, viele Honeymooner, keine Kinder. Internet Verbindung ist extrem langsam, kann man sich schenken. Flugverbindung mit Qatar Airways von Frankfurt über Doha mit kurzem Aufenthalt. Business Class von Qatar ist hervorragend, im Moment deutlich besser als Emirates. Gebucht haben wir über EWTC - sehr empfehlenswert.
Alle Zimmertypen haben einen guten Standard und sind dem Preis angemessen. Unsere Residence Villa war hervorragend, eine komplette Begehung habe ich als Video hochgeladen.
Das Essen wäre ein Wehrmutstropfen gewesen, wenn wir im Hauptrestaurant am Buffet teilgenommen hätten. Da die Residence Villen ein eigenes Restaurant haben, sind wir da aber nur einmal gewesen. Das Buffet ist nett hergerichtet, recht abwechslungsreich, kostet aber knapp 90 USD pro Nase für Gäste, die keine Halbpension gebucht haben - ohne Getränke wohlgemerkt. Unabhängig vom Preis - wir hatten eine gute Vergleichsmöglichkeit, da wir direkt vom Filitheyo in das Coco Palm umgezogen sind. Obwohl deutlich günstiger und vom Standard einfacher, war das Essen im Fili einfach eine Klasse besser, das gilt für das Buffet genauso wie für das Restaurant Aqua. Unser Eindruck war, dass im Coco mehr Zugeständnisse an die verschiedenen Herkunftsländer der Gäste gemacht wurde und die Speisen deshalb - vergleichweise - langweilig waren. 3. 5 Sonnen für das Hauptrestaurant und das Aqua, 5. 5 Sonnen für das Stars (das Residence Restaurant).
Sehr freundliches Personal, für maledivische Verhältnisse sehr gute Englischkenntnisse. Villa wurde 2 mal am Tag gereinigt. Die Gäste der Residence Villen haben einen eigenen Butler.
Das Hotel erreicht man per Speedboat vom Flughafen Male in 45 Minuten. Die Fahrt kann bei starkem Wellengang etwas "bumpy" sein. Organisation am Flughafen lief problemlos. Die Insel ist sehr ruhig - kein Fluglärm.

Sehr gute Tauchbasis unter deutscher Leitung mit neuem Equipment. Die Basis ist nicht billig, aber der Service echt gut. Die Angestellten waschen nach dem Tauchgang die Klamotten und hängen sie auf, man muss wirklich nur an Bord gehen und tauchen, alles andere wird erledigt. Halbtages- und Tagestouren, kein Nitrox. Das Hausriff ist ok, aber nix dolles.
